Great Scales To Help Build FitnessHaving made the decision to focus on my complete health, I was looking for a method to best track my progress. Having invested in digital scales before, this time I was looking for scales that provided a more detailed overview, with a focus on fitness as well as weight loss. The innerscan scales are perfect for this.
You can see the quality from the moment you open the box. Really simple to set up. I thought with all the information you get from them that the set up process would be complicated, but it was all done in a few minutes through the app. The app is simple to use and provides both a snapshot and a detailed breakdown of what's going on inside my body. The muscle quality measures have changed the way I work out, encouraging me to focus on my torso and legs for muscle building rather than just cardio which had been my main focus for weight loss. If you are looking for a quick snap shot, the details are all displayed on the screen on the device when you weigh in. The app really does bring that to life and allows you to see progression in real time.

Excellent precision scales.The scales arrived well packaged and they looked unlike anything similar that I’d seen before. The instructions were a little vague in getting them set up, but it was quite a logical process. It took a few attempts to guess how to start the measurement process, but now I’ve got the hang of it, it is simple. The information that these scales give is extraordinary. It measures your weight, muscle mass, bone weight, water content and the fat content of your body, arms and legs. It tells me where I am doing well with muscle strength and where needs work.
The weight can be measured in Kg or stones and pounds. It gives a precise measurement down to the nearest 0.1 pound which is very useful. It also records and remembers previous measurements so that you can track your progress on a graph. I would highly recommend these scales. The health benefits of the motivational factors to lose weight and improve muscle mass make it a worthy purchase.

Amazing productI just got the Tanita Dual Frequency body composition monitor RD-545-HR inner scan scales - they arrived on time and extremely well packaged. When I opened the box I was impressed by the modern look of the scales. They looked pretty sleek and futuristic. The instruction manual was easy to read and understand and the combined app set up was incredibly easy. I love the fact you pull up the handles from the base to take your body readings. You can also set your countries gravity level to assist with accurate readings. The device links to a free app which allows you to track your improvement over time on your smart phone. The device measures body weight, muscle mass, muscle quality, heart rate ,body fat - gives you your own metabolic age - which may surprise you!!! I was pleasantly surprised which gave me a big boost to try and improve!!!Also gives your BMI reading . All these measurements combine to help you with training / weight loss activities. These scales operate on four batteries which is ok but I would have liked a rechargeable option just from a green energy point of view

Fab for the health consciousI have been very impressed with my tanita scales and the level of health insights they have provided me, especially the muscle quality feature and the metabolic age. It's great that I can track other metrics than weight alone and this really helps to encourage me to keep on track with my health and fitness. Given the scales have a handle, I figured that they might be a bit bulky but this isn't the case, they fit really well in the bathroom where my old scales used to be. I would certainly recommend these scales for anyone that is health conscious or starting the journey towards being more health conscious.

Worth the W.E.I.G.H.T.Recently treated myself as I needed a new set of scales. Turns out to be one of the best decisions I’ve made. As everyone will know weighing-in is a day to day chore that hasn’t varied much over the course of my lifetime. My previous set of scales were fairly simplistic and provided my weight, BMI and Body Fat. Tanita scales are a game changer providing over 12 data-sets and segmental analysis, as appropriate, for Torso, Full Body, and each Limb.
The scales are a joy to use and only take a matter of minutes to be set up and ready for use out of the box. Tanita’s use of Bluetooth and smartphone may be expected from high end products nowadays but Tanita have introduced this in a simple, intelligent and informative way. It’s a joy to weigh-in now, except when some of the measurements don’t show the right trend but I can’t blame Tanita for my excesses or lack of exercise!
An obvious point to consider before purchase is the price of the item. These scales are without a doubt a, maybe even the, high end product for in-home weight management. If you’re able to invest in the long term goal of managing your body and health it’s right to recognise that this is a one-off investment for many years and over that time the cost is relatively minor. If this model is too expensive there are other Tanita products available to help you however in regard to this model I would recommend buying it for the following reasons:
W - Worth - On the one hand it is, after all, just a set of scales. On the other hand these scales, and the connected App, provide an extensive range of data measurements, information and trends to monitor and incentivise your body and health management. The scales do their job very, very well and provide an ongoing investment in my future development and goal attainment. I’d definitely say these scales are worth every penny.
E - Elegance - These scales are well designed, attractive to look at, and have a useful on-screen display. The small touches like the comfortable grip-bar, the rounded edges, and the colour contrast add to its attractiveness and make it something to be seen in your bathroom rather than hidden under a cabinet
I - Intuitive - Whilst we all know how to use scales it’s clear there is still scope to develop and improve the information and use that you can get from those few seconds standing on the scales. These scales and app provide a wide range of measurements, explanations, and information within easily accesible menu options in the app. Tanita have harnessed simple, attractive and intuitive menu options to provide an extensive array of information on your phone for review at your convenience. So much information yet so little clutter on your phone or tablet. A joy to behold.
G - Goals - Tanita have included a graphical display of each measurement over time within the app which allows you to see trends and chart your journey towards your goals.You can select either daily, weekly or monthly to review your progress.
T - Training - The design and operation of the scales with the accompanying app enables you to quickly see your improvements, or as will happen occasionally deterioration, in your health goals and spur you to greater efforts. Brilliant addition for tracking my fitness journeyI was impressed with the scales from the minute I opened the box. They are so easy to set up and link to my I Phone, and the registration process is so simple. The design of the scales is modern and they fit perfectly in my bathroom without looking one bit out of place. The range of muscle measurements it takes is immense and being able to keep track of these on the app is great for both me and my family alike. A top quality productThis is a very high quality pair of scales which gives a really professional, high end look and design. Very impressive piece of kitOut of the box these scales were very impressive and although setup was a bit fiddly and time consuming I was impressed with the features, interface and app once it was all setup. There's no doubting these scales are very comprehensive, even the weight of them just shows what a major bit of kit these are.
One word of note, make sure the scales are positioned on a flat and hard floor otherwise the measurements won't be accurate.
The different measurements the scales offer are pretty mind blowing and they can be displayed and exported neatly on the app and exported via pdf.
I did have some issues with bluetooth connectivity and pairing which was frustrating but overall I was very impressed with my purchase. I can see these being a great health and fitness companion going forward.Posted on

Great scales, easy to use, feature packed!I have had the scales for 3 weeks now and I'm so impressed with the quality of the scales. I was quick to get them out of the box and start using them straight away. There are so many features and are so easy to set up and use. The pairing process was so easy and love the personalised touch by adding your name to the digital display.
I love the app, all the information is stored there for you to track your progress. There is also detailed meanings of what everything means with clear pictures for you to see where your reading sits. The charts easily allow you to track your progress and see the results really easily.
It connects to Google fit too and transfers the info there to keep track. I particularly liked the export feature where it produces a PDF of your results.
The muscle quality feature is great. I have recently started going to the gym and is a great way to track your progress. I've still got a long way to go but the scales have definitely helped me to be more focused on the other measurements it gives you.Posted on

High end gym standard scalesHaving changed gyms I was keen to keep track of my progress and my original gym had a similar set of scales. These really are a professional set of scales, the level of data is insane, the setup was very simple with an iPhone, my PT is making me do increased single leg squats to make up for the imbalance recorded by these scales.

Compramos en la web oficial con un poco de temor porque siempre dudas de que sea una web fraudulenta. Todo fué genial, me llegó enseguida la factura y a los 11 días la báscula perfectamente empaquetada y protegida.
No te dan mucha información de la situación del pedido pero siguen su curso independientemente de tu temor y llega perfectamente.

My first impression was - ‘This is awesome!!!’ Probably the most complicated of all my gadgets, but very interesting and, I'm sure, very useful. Very eager to get to grips with it down to the subtleties and nuances.
And I highly recommend everyone who buys this gadget and is in Europe to use MY TANITA as the main application, as it is written in the instructions, and NOT HealthPlanet, as many advise on YouTube. Great tool but could be improved...Very satisfactory product. Too bad, as with professional and decidedly more expensive scales, there is not, in the BODY COMPOSITION ANALYZER pdf file, at least a theoretical estimate of the intracellular water ICW and extracellular water ECW; I would add that also in the SEGMENTAL ANALYSIS section in the FAT trunk, left and right arms and legs report, there is no weight in kg but only the percentage.
Furthermore, the icing on the cake could certainly be a detailed explanation, again of the Body Composition Analyzer report, of all the results and, in particular, of the supposed inconsistency (in my case) between the VISCERAL FAT RATING (HIGH14 and therefore obese) and SEGMENTAL ANALYSYS FAT is Under Fat -2... ; I can assume, at this point, that the visceral fat is separated from the external fat of the trunk and limbs. This clarification is very important.
Lastly, how does the scale software update itself automatically?

Sehr zufriedenMesswerte plausbibel, eine gleichzeitig gekaufte, preislich vergleichbare Withings liefert völlig absurde Fett- und Muskelwerte.
App sehr übersichtlich und leicht zu bedienen, ohne nervige Werbung und Nachrichten. Bei der Anmutung schneidet die Withings besser ab und wünschen würde ich mir wiederaufladbare Akkus und keine Wegwerfbatterien. Das ist der einzige Kritikpunkt, insgesamt bin ich sehr zufrieden.Posted on

Brilliant scales; great support companyI find these scales even better than my previous Tanita ones. Body composition is essential for keeping my body in shape and tracking how my lifestyle effects it. Having the data on an app is a great improvement too.
Their warranty and after-sales support are impeccable. My initial RD-545, probably one of the first set produced, had a bit of a software problem - the readings got slower and occasionally hung up. Tanita replaced my original one without a quibble (it was 2-years old), and the new one is even better - quicker readings.Posted on

Gute Waage, empfehlenswert trotz des PreisesDas Zusammenspiel mit der App funktioniert, die Einrichtung war einfach. Gute Übersicht der Werte in der App, es kann jeweils zum Messwert immer eine Info aufgerufen werden, was das Ergebnis bedeutet.
Ich verwende die Waage täglich annähernd zur gleichen Zeit, laut Anleitung einige Stunden nach der letzten Mahlzeit, und vor sportlichen Aktivitäten.
Einige Messwerte blieben innerhalb 14 Tagen "Testzeitraum" konstant, andere Werte veränderten sich minimal, meistens nur in den Nachkommastellen, was auch logisch ist. Es waren im Regelfall die Werte z.B. für Gewicht, Wasser- und Fettanteil.
Aktuell bin ich mit der Waage sehr zufrieden, die Messwerte sind bei mir alle noch im "grünen Bereich". Ob sich zukünftig durch Anpassung der sportlichen Aktivitäten manche Messwerte verbessern werden, bleibt abzuwarten.
Der Preis ist sicherlich sehr hoch, aber derzeit scheint es keine brauchbare Alternative für die private Verwendung zu geben. Andere Körperanalysewaagen messen nur über die Fußkontakte, und haben keinen Handgriff. Dadurch ergeben sich auf alle Fälle verfälschte Messwerte.
Wer eine sehr gute Waage sucht, der ist mit dieser Tanita-Waage bestens versorgt, einziger Nachteil ist eben der hohe Preis.Posted on

Seem very goodThis is my second Tanita product (the first scales shattered when my wife knocked them into something) and I chose them because they are the nearest to medical quality dual frequency at a non medical price although still rather expensive. I also wanted something not made of glass. Having had a stroke in the past, I also wanted to analyse muscles on a per limb basis. It is important to follow the instructions and always use them at the same time. I.e. the best is before the main meal of the day. The app works well and nothing to complain about but must emphasise to get consistency, always use at the same time and not after a shower or exercise.

Useful bit of kitAfter starting to go to the gym a lot more over the last few months I wanted to assess any physical improvements a bit more precisely than solely through body weight, which has very few limited benefits.
So I acquired these scales to help keep track of key body measurements. They’ve already been great at providing a useful key base line on which to improve.
I’m still intrigued as to how measurements can deviate quite significantly day-to-day despite taking them at the same time each day… but can see that over time the key trends will come out.Posted on

Gute Waage, schwankende WerteDie Waage an sich ist wirklich sehr gut gemacht und auch das was Sie und wie Sie es in der App anzeigt ist super.
Aber
Die Waage ist sehr feinfühlig beim Gewicht und bei messen selbst. Mehrere Wiege-Vorgänge hintereinander müssen nicht unbedingt zum gleichen Ergebnis führen. Gerade beim Gewicht gibt es einen Unterschied von 500 Gramm.Posted on
