This is an excellent, very accurate & practical scale. I have been using my second one for some time now & my recent purchase was to gift two of my children their second ones, our first ones having 'lived' for about ten years (unfortunately they do not last forever! ). In the interim we have all tried less expensive models & we found them to be not as accurate & especially not as practical. The fact that it can be stored either standing or flat, with its folding control bar, is a huge plus.

The previous one died after 15 years. Bought in Japan. I wanted the same brand. This one seems perfect. I'm happy!
