Powerhouse Pumpkin

Pumpkin is an excellent source of fibre and vitamin A. Frozen banana gives this pumpkin smoothie a thick texture; chilling the pumpkin makes sure the smoothie stays cold when you blend it.


  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 banana sliced
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Very easy and quick preparation!

Pour milk into the blender; add pumpkin, banana, brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth, about 3 minutes. Garnish with a dash of ground cinnamon, if desired. Serve immediately.

Optional: Add yoghurt and orange juice to make a breakfast beverage with 740mg of potassium per serving.
